Welcome to Suffolk
Suffolk is the biggest city in Virginia by land area, and it feels like it. You’ll find a historic downtown, farmland, waterfront and new neighborhoods all within the same city limits. It’s perfect if you want space without giving up access.
Downtown Suffolk
A historic downtown with older homes and a growing dining scene.
Harbour View & North Suffolk
Newer neighborhoods, shopping and easy access to the bridges and tunnels.
Driver
A small village with a country feel in the northern part of the city.
Holland & Whaleyville
Rural areas with larger lots in the southern part of the city.
Every neighborhood has its own feel; I’m happy to help you compare them in person.
Getting around
Route 58, Route 17 and I-664 connect Suffolk to the rest of Hampton Roads, and North Suffolk puts the Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel close by. Commutes to the Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Norfolk installations are common, and depending on where you live, the Peninsula can be reachable too.
Commute times vary a lot with traffic, tunnels and time of day. I’m always glad to drive the route with you.
A note on schools
Suffolk is served by Suffolk Public Schools. School assignments are set by address and can change, so please verify zoning for any specific home directly with the school division before you buy.
